PRACTISE A MONOLOGUE OR RANT

Today's prompt: SCHOOL MEALS
PRACTISE AN INITIATION

Give us an opening inspired by today's monologue:
“Hey—quick question. I hate that phrase. ‘Quick question.’ It's never quick. Never.
You hear it and immediately you know: this is a trap. It’s either a five-minute ambush or a life-changing ask, and somehow you’re supposed to say yes without looking annoyed.
My colleague said it today—just popped into my office. ‘Quick question’—and then hit me with: ‘Could you take over the Paris account for three months while I go find myself in Bali?’
That’s not a quick question. That’s a hostage situation. And I’m the hostage.”
